February 3, 2010 Update

The 2010 Superbowl 10K is fast approaching. Mother nature looks like it maybe throwing it's best "defense" at us. We've created this blog to keep you all up to date on the current news regarding the race. Thank you for visiting.

The weather forecast is not looking good at this point, so it's likely we will be running the "alternate" course which has been added to this blog. If the snow does hit us hard there may be a few modifications on race day (other than the course). There is still a lot of questions regarding the track of the storm so we'll keep our fingers crossed!

The race is still offering some great amenities such as long sleeve technical Brooks Running shirts, pizza, soda, water and Gatorade. Weather permitting, we'll be able to hang out for the post race festivities in a large tent. We have great awards for the top 100 finishers as well as age group awards for 5 year male and female age groups.

Don't forget, there will be early packet pickup at the Finish Line in Emmaus during regular business hours on Friday and Saturday.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please feel free to leave them below!

  1. Is there a list of registered participants available? Given the weather/distance from were I'm at in Wayne, NJ wanted to see if anyone I knew might be carpooling. If anyone reading this post is close by and interested in carpooling definitely let me know.

  2. I don't have a list with all of the addresses on it, but I do have a list of all of the participants. It is at home but if you send me your email (garges329@yahoo.com) I'll scan it and send it tomorrow (Friday) morning.

  3. Great idea with the blog! Thanks. I'm really hoping we don't get whopped with this storm, I've been looking forward to this race. Fat chance, right? I thought we could do packet pickup at the store starting on Wednesday. Not true?

  4. As of now we're still planning to have the race, most likely on the course that is posted on this blog. May be an interesting race, but one that you'll be able to brag to your friends about! The shirts and bibs are at the store now, we did only advertise them for Friday and Saturday so Chris and his gang didn't have to dig through them all week. Hope to see you Sunday!
